Troops Smash Terrorists In Kaduna, Rescue 13 Students

News Investigators/ The Troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued 13 kidnapped students in Kaduna State, dealing a significant blow to terrorist groups in the region.

The rescue mission, which took place on September 12, 2024, involved a fierce gun battle with terrorists at Chigbolu village in Kachia Local Government Area.

The Army, in a statement on Friday, September 13, 2024, said the rescued students comprise six males and seven females.

The troops also eliminated some insurgents, captured others, and seized a substantial cache of arms and ammunition.

“The operation, launched based on reliable intelligence, aimed to rescue abducted persons from violent extremist camps. The troops overpowered the terrorists, forcing them to flee and abandon their captives. A thorough sweep of the area led to the rescue of the 13 victims, as well as the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and other items,” the Army said.

“The rescued students have been evacuated to 1 Division Medical Services and Hospital for medical attention. This successful operation marks a significant milestone in the Nigerian Army’s counter-terrorism efforts in Kaduna State.l,” it added.
