The terrorists who attacked the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28, have released another batch of three of their victims on Monday.

The victims released comprises two males and a female.

Although Publisher of Desert Herald, Tukur Mamu, confirmed the release of the victims, he said he did not play a role in the release of the latest batch.

The Publisher had served as a mediator between the abductors and the Federal Government.

“Three victims have been released, a female and two male. But remember I’m not part of the negotiation that led to their freedom,” Mamu said.

It wasn’t clear if those who regained their freedom paid any ransom for their release.

On Sunday, the bandits released video where they were flogging the helpless victims with sticks and torturing them.

The video, also showed where the terrorists threatened to kill the remaining abuducted passengers and sell out others if their demands were not met by the Federal Government.

On Monday, the relatives of the abducted victims, besieged the Ministry of Transportation in Abuja to protest the prolonged stay of the abductees in the terrorists’ den after four months.

The family members of the victims carried placards with various inscriptions which read, ‘Federal Government please release the train attack victims’, ‘Our blood pressure keeps rising every day’, ‘ We hardly sleep with our two eyes closed’, among others.

The two blocked the entrance gate of the Ministry of Transportation, pleading with the Federal government to do the needful.
