The House of the President of the apex Igbo a socio- cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof. George Obiozor has been gutted by fire in Imo State.
Our Correspondent gathered that gang of gun wielding assailants at Obiozor’s residence at Awo-Omanma, Oru East Local Governor Area of the State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Imo State Police Command, Mr Michael Abatham, a Chief Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident to journalists in Owerri.
Abatham who said that the Command had received the information on the incident added that it was under investigation.
The Network gathered that the attackers stormed Awo-Omanma, and threw grenade into the house to raze it.
The source said further that the Ohanaeze President was not in the house when it came under attack.
