….Places a Ransom of N80m on Him
The kidnappers of the Edo State Chapter of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Abdul-Hamid Egele, have contacted his family almost a week after his abduction.
The kidnappers are demanding the sum of N80 million as the ransom the family must pay to have him back.
A family source confided in our correspondent on Friday that the kidnappers made their first contact with the family after a seemingly endless wait and requested for the payment N80 million ransom for his release.
Some heavily armed gunmen abducted Egele, from his resident in Edo State on Monday night.
A source said that the assailants ambushed the IPMAN Chairman with two unmarked vehicles at the gate to his country home.
The gunmen killed the driver and injured the security man attached to the kidnapped IPMAN boss in the attack at Jattu, in Etsako West Local Government Area of the State.
