The Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello, had said that he presided over the meeting of the APC as Acting Chairman.
Bello said that he has been Acting as the National Chairman since the Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mala Buni traveled.
“I have been acting for a while since the Chairman traveled.”
He told journalists shortly after the meeting that the states chairmen were inaugurated today.
He said that meeting discussed the modalities for achieving the March 26th date for the convention.
He said, “The States Chairmen took their oath of Office today and we discussed progress made so far on Convention and what needs to be done next so that we will achieve the March 26 date for Convention.”
When asked to confirm the reports that he has been appointed to take over from Buni in Acting capacity, he refused comment.
