Gun men have shot a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Isaiah Adanagbe, in Benin.’
Adanagbe who was the Secretary of the PDP in Oredo Ward 9, was shot at a drinking joint around Sokponna Road on Thursday night.
His attackers who pretended to be customers at the bar shot him in the leg and left him writhing in pain.
They were also said to have beaten him mercilessly before leaving the bar,
A source who confided in The Network said that there could be a political dimension to the shooting as he was shot during a political argument at the bar.
It was stated that the injured man was quickly rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
