Bloodthirsty gunmen have killed a military couple on their way to Imo State for their marriage ceremony on April 30.
The deceased identified as A.M Linus, a Sergeant of the Nigerian Army, alongside his wife, were killed on their way to Imo State on Saturday.
Reports say the assailants targeted and murdered them because they were military personnel.
There has been serial attacks on security operatives in the southeast in recent time.
It was gathered that the killing has the signature of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it’s militant wing of Eastern Security Network (ESN).
The gang has been accused to be masterminds of the increasing spate of attacks against police and military formations in the South East, in the recent time.
The Network gathered that a man claimed to be mastermind of the attack, on a phone conversation obtained by Linda Ikeji Blog further confirmed the sad development.
It was learned that In the phone conversation obtained by LIB, a man confessed killing the couple and two others.
“According to him, soldiers have been killing innocent people and he has ‘eaten these ones’ in revenge.
