The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, (AMEN) Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has warned Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State against the ban placed on the operations of motorcycles (Okada), tricycle, and tipper-truck in three local government areas of the state.
The Governor had on Thursday signed Executive Order No.1: 2022, banning operations of tricycle, motorcycle, and tipper-truck in entire Nkanu East, Nkanu West, and some communities in Enugu South LGA.
But reacting on Sunday, Father Mbaka accused the state government of taking the decision without thinking of its effects on the ordinary people.
The fiery preacher said, “I have been asking and pleading that they should release Nnamdi Kanu. It appeared as if once Nnamdi Kanu is arrested banditry, crisis, killings will end, instead, after he had been arrested, things worsened.
“Situations are worsening every day which now proves that holding him has not provided any solution.
“Anybody who makes a law that should not be made should be ready to face the consequences. The poor masses should not continue to suffer and suffer and suffer. And I am pleading with the leaders of Enugu State, There is no job.
“If some people don’t go out with their Keke, their parents, wives, and children will not eat. Their sick mothers will not take any medicine. If you catch any Keke person that commits any crime, punish the person. You cannot generalize the sin of one to everybody. No.”
“We are awaiting the banning of Sienna in Enugu, because those people who are killing the police use Sienna, and they use Lexus, at times Highlander, Mercedes, at times Jeep, and they will always wind up.
“They also use Hilux, tinted and untinted. Therefore, God will punish all the leaders in Enugu, if they keep silent and the poor masses are suffering,” he said.
