The police in Anambra State have repealed yet another attack on one of its divisions, the Nteje Police Division in Anambra State.
The attack was suspected to have been launched by suspected members of the rampaging Eastern Security Network.
The Network gathered that the operation took place in the early hours of Thursday around 3am
The State Commissioner of Police, Echeng Echeng personally led the operation that successful repelled the brutal assault on the police division.
Investigation revealed that the Commissioner led a team of crack operatives which did not just repel the attack but neutralized some of the attackers and recovered weapons from them.
The attack is coming a day after
Miss Ogee Oduah, a relative of the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial zone, Sen. Stella Oduah, and three other police officers were killed by gunmen in Anambra on Wednesday.
The policemen were killed when the hoodlums attacked the Police Station in Atani, the headquarters of Ogbaru Local Government Area in Anambra State.
The hoodlums also set the operational vehicles of the police ablaze, in the early morning attack which took place by 1:30am on Wednesday.
