President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday departed Abuja for the United Kingdom where he will spend two weeks for medical check-up.
“President Buhari departs for medical check up in UK March 6th, 2022,” a presidential aide, Femi Adesina, said while announcing the president’s departure.
Adesina also shared pictures of the President’s departure on his Facebook page.
The President was scheduled to proceed to UK from Kenya after the United Nations Environmental Programme at 50 Special Session in Nairobi.
But he returned to the country on Friday contrary to the State House statement which announced his medical trip to the UK for two weeks.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina had said on Monday that “From Kenya, President Buhari will proceed to London for routine medical checks that will last for a maximum of two weeks.”
The President whose main tasks was to “deliver the National Statement of the country and participate in High Level Dialogue Sessions on the Environment at the event returned on Friday.
