The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Senator Aisha Dahiru, as the winner of the gubernatorial election in Adamawa State.
The electoral umpire declared Senator Aisha Dahiru popularly known as Binani as the Governor-Elect on Sunday morning in Yola.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner for the state Barrister Hudu Yunusa, made the declaration following the supplementary election held Saturday.
Binani makes history as the first elected female governor in Nigeria.
