YPP Guber Candidate Pledges ₦200bn For Igbo Apprenticeship Scheme

News Investigators/ Paul Chukwuma, Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate in the Anambra Nov. 8 governorship poll has promised to earmark ₦200 billion to sustain the Igbo apprenticeship system if elected.

Mr Chukwuma made the pledge on Friday, during a rally in Nnewi North and Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

“If elected, we shall deploy policy framework for sustainability of the apprenticeship system.

“This framework shall also accommodate our youths without higher education and shall include a venture capital of N200 billion, solely for our business community.

“This is to ensure that we take back our withering advantage in commerce, industry, and innovation in Nigeria,” he said.

He promised that if elected, his administration would strengthen the beehive of commercial activities in Nnewi by prioritising security.

“Our government shall restore security within the first three months in office,” he said.

The YPP candidate also promised to fix the deplorable roads in Nnewi North and Nnewi South LGAs to boost socioeconomic activities and tackle insecurity in the areas.

“We also observed that Nnewi roads are in such a terrible state. This is very unfortunate. Wwe shall fix Nnewi roads as a matter of both urgency and priority for our government,” he said.

 Mr Chukwuma appreciated the support of the people of Nnewi South and Nnewi North towards his ambition.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the campaign team of Chukwuma visited Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo LGAs.
