There was crisis at the Adoration Ministries, Enugu, Nigeria, on Sunday, as Bishop Callistus Onaga announced the transfer of controversial cleric Father Ejike Mbaka to the Monastery.

During the Sunday Mass, Father Mbaka made the announcement introducing his replacement, Fr Anthony Amadi who was appointed new Spiritual Director of AMEN,

“So, while I proceed to the monastery to continue with the remaining disciplinary exercises, as directed; I wouldn’t know how long; but the church has appointed Fr Anthony Amadi, one of us, to be overseeing all affairs of the ministry, to be assisted by other priests, pending my return, by the grace of God,” Mbaka had said.

However, the announcement came as a shock to members of the church who reacted angrily and almost lynched the new director of the church.

Luckily, Rev Fr Anthony Amadi escaped mob action by the whiskers on Sunday.

The new priest brought by Bishop Callistus Onaga to takeover from the Spiritual Director Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka is expected to resume fully on Oct. 5, when he would to be in charge of Wednesday’s Adoration progrmames.

The Network gathered that it is seemingly suicidal for the new Bishop to go to the Adoration Ministry to take over from Father Mbaka.

It was further learnt that even the Bishop himself cannot step his feet to takeover the Adoration Ministry.

Adorationers who spoke to our reporter vowed to protect the Ministry insisting that only Mbaka would be allowed to preside.

“Onaga just wants to commit murder by sending an innocent priest to that crowd. The people who attended that service were there to see their Fr. Mbaka after several months, and hear him speak and pray for them.

“People who come here are not Catholics alone, and they don’t come here because of Onaga and his priests, we come here because of Fr. Mbaka. And if he is not here, you won’t see anyone here. It’s as simple as that and nothing can change it.

“We will be here on Wednesday to see their next plan, but I assure you the priest must have learnt his lessons. We are not even waiting for him, we are waiting for Onaga himself,” one of the Adorationers said.
