Strong indications have emerged that the detained former Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, may be released any moment from now.
The Network gathered authoritatively that the former Governor has met the Commission’s bail conditions.
The EFCC had asked the former Governor to provide two directors in the Federal Civil service as sureties for his bail.
The commission gave Obiano the alternative to provide two citizens with landed property in the high brow areas of Abuja : Maitama, Asokoro and Wuse 2.
However, after three days of search for people who could meet the conditions for the bail, the former Governor and his men have been able to perfect the bail conditions on Wednesday evening.
As at the time of filing this report, Obiano was still being held at the EFCC facility because the sureties had not been verified.
The source said, “The former Governor of Anambra State, Obiano has been able to meet the bail conditions this evening.
“What is still keeping him in detention is that the verification of the sureties. Once that is done, he would be released to go home.
“He can he released tomorrow or even today once the verification takes place.”
