A yet to be identified agent of the Labour Party in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Lagos has been shot dead.

The Labour Party governorship candidate in the State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, said that the party agent was shot dead at Apapa area of the state by thugs suspected to be members of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

He said that there are reports of widespread voters intimidation in the state.

“From all over Lagos, we are getting reports of voters’ intimidation, voters’ suppression. In Apapa, one of our agents was shot and he is dead. And the worrying part is that INEC and the police have shown to be complicit in this,” he said.

The LP Candidate is among top contenders for the governorship position currently occupied

by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC.

The result of the Presidential election which favorited the Labour Party gave the strong indication of a keen contest among the APP, PDP and the LP.
