The Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state in conjunction with relevant stakeholders held a marathon closed door meeting yesterday night ahead of today’s” stakeholders meeting in Ibadan.

Our correspondent learnt that the meeting was summoned by Atiku to resolve differences in various camps.

Also, the issue of the calls for the resignation of the National Chairman Iyorcha Ayuba was tabled and addressed at the meeting.

Gov. Makinde who took over the hosting right of today’s event from the former Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi has agreed to lead Atiku presidential campaign in the SouthWest.

This development has created tension in the camp of the embattled Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Makinde is one of the top allies of Wike in the seemingly intractable crisis rocking the PDP.
