APC RELEASES TINUBU CAMPAIGN COUNCIL
•••EXCLUDES OSINBAJO, DOGARA

President Muhammadu Buhari has been announced as the Chairman of APC presidential campaign council for the 2023 election.

Curiously, the list excluded the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo’s name.

The list released by the Secretary of the APC presidential campaign council, James Faleke, in Abuja on Saturday also excluded a former Speaker of the House Of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.

Also, former secretary to the government of the federation, Babachir Lawal; and a former minister of state for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, a former minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, who has been campaigning for Tinubu were excluded.

Dogara and Lawal have been consisted in resisting the Muslim Muslim ticket represented by the choice of Kassim Shettima as the running mate to the Presidential Candidate.

The Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, retained his position as director-general of the campaign council, a former Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, got the position of Deputy Director General, Operations, and former Director General of News Agency of Nigeria, Bayo Onanuga was appointed director of media and publicity.

Also appointed into the council are a former National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, Bisi Akande, Olusegun Osoba, Tanko Yakasai, Zainab Asipita Ogundana and 69 others named as members of the campaign council.

The list also include the minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, former minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi,
(Adviser, Infrastructure.)

Other prominent members of the Council are the Senate President Ahmad Lawan (Senior Adviser, Strategic Planning); Ibikunle Amosun (Adviser, Contact and Mobilization); former Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, Ikeobasi Mokelu who are Campaign Patrons; and senators Rochas Okorocha and Ahmad Zani Yarima (members of the local government directorate.)

Also in the list are prominent Party members such as State Governors, members of the party’s National working committee, retired security chiefs and others.

Faleke advised “all the nominees to pick up their appointment letters from the undersigned on Monday, 26 September 2022, at 12 noon.”
