A 500-level student of the Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture Umudike, Abia state, identified as Modestus Hyacinth Egbulefu, has committed suicide.
Egbulefu was said to have jumped down from a three-storey building and died on the spot after taking hard drug suspected to be Mkpulu mmiri.
The final year student of the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering was said to have jumped the 3 storey building identified as Groom Base Lodge, around 9 am on Sunday.
The Network gathered that efforts be students to revive him proved abortive as he died on the spot.
It was stated that his corpse has been deposited in a mortuary in the Area.
