5 Suspects Nabbed Over Alleged Attack On Teenager In Jema’a LGA – Chairman

News Investigators/ Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the alleged attack on a 16-year-old girl, Miss Endurance Sabo, at Goska village in Kaninkon Ward of Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Chairman of Jemaa Local Government, Peter  Dogara, confirmed the arrests on Sunday, following what he described as the swift intervention of security agencies.

Mr Dogara said the incident, which occurred on Saturday, was an attempted kidnapping involving Miss Sabo, her grandmother and four sisters.

“While the grandmother and the other children escaped unhurt,  Sabo was rescued with severe injuries, including the amputation of one of her hands,” he said.

According to him, upon receiving a distress call, he immediately coordinated with security operatives, leading to the rescue of the victim and the arrest of the five suspects.

The chairman said the victim was currently receiving medical treatment at Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital, Kafanchan.

He added that the local government would bear the cost of her medical bills and had requested the hospital’s medical team to refer her to a tertiary health facility for further and more comprehensive care.

Dogara assured the residents of Jemaa Local Government of their safety, urging them to go about their normal activities without fear, as security agencies had been fully mobilised to ensure a peaceful Yuletide.

He also called on the residents to remain law-abiding, promptly report any breach of peace to security agencies and refrain from taking the law into their own hands.

The chairman joined the peace-loving people of Jemaa Local Government in praying for Sabo’s swift and complete recovery.
