Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has been sacked by the election petition tribunal sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Monday.
The Tribunal, in his stead, declared David Ombugadu, the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as duly elected governor of the state in the gubernatorial election March 18.
Delivering the judgment virtually, Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, declared Emmanuel Ombugadu of the PDP as the lawfully elected governor of Nasarawa State.
Two of the justices agreed that the election was won by the PDP while one judge disagreed.
Recall that Governor Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC), participated in re-election bid for a second term but faced stiff opposition during the election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Sule, winner after polling a total of 347,209 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Mr Ombugadu, who secured 283,016 votes.
