Traders on Thursday prevented the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, and his wife Ebelechukwu, who is contesting for the Anambra North Senatorial seat under the All Progressives Grand Alliance from campaigning at the Main Market, Onitsha.

The traders chanted Peter Obi solidarity songs  to receive the immediate past Governor of the State, and his wifeEbelechukwu.

Obiano, in company of his wife and her campaign team, had visited the market to campaign for vote in the coming National Assembly election slated for Feb. 25.

The former governor who started by chanting APGA slogan in order to clear the air for his address, was greeted with the chants of Obi, Obi, Obi… by the traders who did not want him to speak.

As he made efforts to sing his popular APGA song (Ebee ka unu no?  APGAAA!!!), the traders intensified their chants for Obi with some telling them to leave the market as they were not wanted, as others shouted on top of their voices.

Disturbed by the development, the Obiano who was standing in the midst of the traders with his wife, quickly suspended his speech and made for his seat.

The former Chief Obiano later departed the scene with the former governor waving his horsetail in his usual manner at the crowd who were busy chanting Obi.
