TINUBU REPORTEDLY APPOINTS EX EFCC CHAIRMAN, NUHU RIBADU, AS NSA

Strong indication have emerged that the pioneer Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has been appointed the National Security Adviser  President Tinubu.

Senator Shehu Sani gave the hint of Ribadu’s appointed on Twitter.

Ribadu was said to be selected ahead of other three applicants for the top security job.

Other contestants to the position were General Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), the former Minister of Interior and ex-Chief of Army Staff, and Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the current Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

It was gathered that the President after considering the experience and Ribadu’s network connection internationally, choose the former EFCC chair as his NSA.

The selection of Ribadu as NSA is a major appointments made by the newly sworn-in president.

Tinubu had earlier appointed Femi Gbajabiamila as Chief of Staff and Senator Akume George as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

It was learned that Tinubu holds Ribadu in high regard and respects his success in the fight against corruption and dedication to public service. 

Ribadu is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the campaign against insecurity.
