••• AS BUHARI COMMISSIONS REFERENCE HOSPITAL NEAR EXPLOSION SITE
Three people were killed and three others injured as a bomb exploded near the palace of the Ohiniyi of Ebira Land, Okene, Kogi State on Thursday.
Security sources said that the explosion occurred about 100 meters to the OKene Reference Hospital which was later commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari.
It was learnt that a moving vehicle laden with explosives exploded in front of the parlance of the Ohiniyi of Ebira Land, Okene, before the commissioning of the hospital scheduled for 9am.
It further gathered that two motorcycles were burnt to ashes in the bomb explosion.
The Kogi State Police Command quickly dispatched the Officer in charge of Bomb Squad to comb the area and ensure calm.
