Theatre Commander Charges Army Officers To Uphold Military Values, Ethics 

News Investigators/ The Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force, North-West, Operation Fansan Yamma, Maj.-Gen. Oluyinka Soyele, has urged the newly promoted officers of the Nigerian Army to continue to uphold the values and ethics of the military profession.

This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Saturday by the Coordinator, Joint Media Coordination Centre, Operation Fansan Yamma, Lt..-Col. Abdullahi Abdullahi.

 Soyele made the call during the investiture ceremony of Commodore Kabir Umar-Rabiu and Lt.- Col. Markus Defwan, as well as Army Warrant Officer, David Yusuf, held on Saturday in Gusau.

He further highlighted loyalty as a quintessential attribute for any officer in the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Soyele emphasised that loyalty, discipline, dedication and commitment to duty were crucial to achieving the theatre’s mandate of combating terrorism and criminal activities in the North-West Zone and Niger.

He also called on the promoted officers to always demonstrate exemplary leadership in their supporting roles towards the achievement of enduring peace and stability in the region.
