Terrorism Charges: Suspends Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court has put off the trial of Nnamdi Kanu sine die at his instance.

The suspension came in the wake of pending resolution of the Federal Government’s appeal against the October 13 judgment of the Court of Appeal that discharged him from the terrorism charges.

The Federal Government’s appeal seeking reversal of the Court of Appeal judgment is pending before the Supreme Court.

Two other cases billed for hearing before the court were also put off indefinitely for the same reason.

Kanu had refused to appear in court on Monday in protest against the refusal of the federal government to release him from detention as ordered by the Court of Appeal on October 13.
