TENSION IN LAGOS AS MOTORCYCLE RIDERS SET FATHER OF TWO ON FIRE OVER N100 BALANCE

A young man and a father of two children, has been set ablaze on Sunday by commercial motorcyclists in the Lekki area of Lagos State over N100 balance by the motorcyclists.

The motorcyclists, the Network gathered, are said to be operating in Lekki area of Lagos.

According to the Lagos State Police Command four suspects have been apprehended in connection to the killing

Reports said the deceased was a sound engineer,before he was lynched and burnt to death after a N100 balance argument with one of the commercial motorcyclists.

It was learned that the motorcyclists, beat the victim and his friend with ring leading to him becoming unconscious after which they set his body on fire.

According to reports, the argument degenerated into fisticuff and immidiately the commercial motorcyclists gathered and fought the deceased and his two friends, said to be a saxophonist and a keyboard player.

Both friends are receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

 The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident.

“It is true. Our men acted promptly. Four suspects have been arrested. We have launched a manhunt for others involved.

“The police will ensure prosecution of everyone involved. We will keep advocating against jungle justice. We also urge parents, religious and political leaders to join the advocacy against jungle justice.”
