There was serious panic in Ikorodu axis of Ogijo a border town between Lagos and Ogun States over the killing of a soldier by a policeman.
The Network gathered that the soldier had an altercation with the policeman who stabbed him to death.
The soldier was not in uniform when the unfortunate incident occurred.
It was learnt that Soldiers from the nearby 174 Battalion, Odoguyan, Ikorodu, were provoked by the killing of their colleague as they stormed the Ogijo Police Station and burnt a bus.
Another source who spoke on the telephone to our correspondent also said that the Ogijo police station was burnt down.
The source said that the soldiers stormed the area in some Toyota Hilux van with tension in the area escalating.
Several people hurriedly closed their shops and scampered for safety.
However, a source said that while there was unease in the area, the soldiers were only seen patrolling in their vans in the night and not molesting people.
A source confided in the Network that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police called the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Lagos to intervene to prevent an escalation of the crisis.
