Sunday Igboho Released From Prison in Benin Republic

There are strong indications that 

the Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka, Sunday Igboho, has been released from prison in Benin Republic.

 Igboho was released to  a leader of the Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Professor Banji Akintoye and a French Language Expert/Deputy leader of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Professor Wale Adeniran.

The Communications Secretary to Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye, quoted Akintoye as having described the release of Ighoho as a Triumph of Truth over Darkness in Yoruba Land in a statement on Monday. 

“The Yoruba Nation Activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, fondly called Sunday Ighoho, has been released by the Government of Republic of Benin.

“The Activist was released on Monday to a Yoruba Leader and Leader of the Umbrella body of Yoruba Self-determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Professor Banji Akintoye and a French Language Expert/ Deputy Alana of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Professor Wale Adeniran.” The statement read in part 

Vanguard quoted Igboho’s  lawyer, Mr Yomi Alliyu, SAN, as having said that  the activist was released  to attend to his health in the hospital in Benin Republic.

“Igboho has not been released, he was only released to be taken to the hospital. The last time we spoke, I told you that we are making arrangements to take care of his health. So, he was released based on health grounds.” Aliyu was quoted as having said
