Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole was returned unopposed as the winner of the All Progressives Congress Party Senatorial ticket for Edo North.
Oshiomhole’s opponent, Francis Alimikhena, the current senator from the area resigned his appointment and pulled out of the contest.
In Edo Central, Valentine Asuen defeated former deputy governor, Hon Lucky Imasuen
He polled 216 to defeat Imasuen who polled 158 votes with four void votes.
Also, Monday Okpebholo got the ticket for Edo Central as he scored 242 out of the 244 accredited delegates.
However, there was a major upset in the neighboring Kogi West as Sunday Karimi polled 288 votes to stop the senatorial bid of incumbent Senator Smart Adeyemi.
Adeyemi who came third in the election scored 73 votes.
