A medical laboratory operator from Agulese Ugwueme Autonomous Community in Awgu LGA of Enugu state Mr Victor Chukwuemeka Ogbonna, a has been arrested.
Ogbonna operates New Life Laboratory at Mgbowo in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State where a seven year child met her untimely death.
The Network gathered a lady, Mrs Ngozika Emeka took her sick seven years old daughter, Miss Joy Emeka who hails from Amata Mgbowo to New Life Laboratory to run a test.
It was learnt that after conducting the test, Ogbonna decided to carry out blood transfusion on the child who died in the process.
The child was confirmed dead on getting to Zion Hospital Mgbowo.
It was reported that Chukwuemeka, a Medical Lab Scientist converted his Lab into a mini clinic where he has been indulging in the practice of treating patients without a medical license to administer drugs or carry out any medical procedure on a patient.
He was arrested on Friday by the Awgu Police Division.
Enugu Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the incident and arrest of the Lab man said that Investigation on the matter was on.
