The Managing Editor, Northern Operations, The Nation Newspaper, Mr Yusuf Ali, has lost his mother, Hajiya Hawau Yusuf.
The business woman pass unto eternal glory on Sunday at the age of 89.
Yusuf Ali, a former Editor of the PUNCH confirmed the death of his mother in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday.
“••• I am grateful that Allah has called my mother, Hajiya Hawau Yusuf to eternal glory @89, a few months short of 90 years.
“ May Allah grant my irreplaceable mum Aljanna Firdaus. Amin Thuma Amin.” He wrote.
She is succeeded by six children, Abdulhamid Yusuf, Yusuf Alli, Abdulrahman Yusuf, Misitura Solih , Afusat Yusuf and Ismaila Yusuf.
She has since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
The Fidau for the deceased will hold on Saturday.
