The Lagos State Police Command has declared an auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, as the prime suspect in the controversial death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, said during a press briefing in Lagos on Friday, that a friend of the late singer identified as Ayobami Sodiq, alias Spending, invited the nurse to Mohbad’s residence to administer three injections which obviously led to his sad end.
The CP said that Mohbad reacted to the three injections by vomiting with goose pimples coming out of his body.
“At about 14:35hrs of 12th September 2023, Miss Feyisayo eventually arrived. She was armed with one pack of Ceftriaxone injection, one paracetamol injection, and syringes.
“Miss Feyisayo administered the drugs on Mohbad and he started vomiting, while goosebumps appeared on his face. Mohbad was reacting to the administered medications.” He said
According to Owohunwa, operatives of the Lagos State Command have interrogated 26 persons, including Mohbad’s family members in connection with his death.
Among his associates who have been arrested by the police are the owner of the Martian label, Afeez Fashola alias Naira Marley, Lagos socialite, Sam Larry and Owodunni Ibrahim aka Prime Boy.
The talented singer died on September 12, 2023, and was hurriedly buried the next day.
The public outcry that followed his death and burial made the police to exhume his remains for autopsy.
