POLICE CONFIRMS KILLING OF 12 YEAR-OLD BOY BY HIS ELDER BROTHER WHILE TESTING ‘BULLETPROOF’ CHARM IN KWARA

The Police have confirmed the killing of a 12 year old boy Yusuf Abubakar by his elder brother, Abubakar Abubakar, while testing a bullet preventing charm he prepared for him on Sunday in Kwara State.

Spokesman for the Command, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the sad occurrence adding that investigations are going on concerning the matter.

“Investigation into the matter has commenced as directed by the Commissioner of Police Kwara State, CP Paul Odama.” he said.

Okasanmi added that parents and guidances across the state should monitor the activities of their wards in order to avert such tragedy again.

“One Abubakar Abubakar allegedly killed his 12 year-old younger brother, one Yusuf Abubakar, while test running a bullet protecting charm he prepared for him.

Elder Abubakar, and his late younger brother were said to be children of a hunter.

The elder Abubakar shot and killed his young brother while testing the efficacy of a newly prepared charm against gun shots.

The unfortunate incident took place on Sunday in Dutse Gogo Town, Kaiama, in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.

It was learned that both brothers, were excited over the newly prepared gun shot preventing charm.

According to an eyewitness, the elder brother had ‘fortified’ his brother (Yusuf) with the newly prepared charm, hung it on him , and asked him to stand  still in order to test the charm.

The witness told newsmen that, immediately, Abubakar Abubakar fired the shot, the chàrm failed as bullets pierce through his brother’s body and he died instantly.

Elder Abubakar, sighting his brother writting in pains on the ground,  immediately fled the scene into the bush to escape being lynched by the community.
