The Ebonyi State Police Command has confirmed the assassination of the owner Galaxy Hotel, Chief Ogbonnaya Nwadibia.
The police said that two others were also killed in Isu Community of Onicha Local Government Area of the State.
The Command’s Spokesman, Mr Chris Anyanwu, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed it to journalists on Sunday.
However, Anyanwu could not give the details of the attack which led to the death of the trio.
He said that the command was still waiting for the details of the attack.
However, a resident of the area who gave his identity as Igwe Nwokorie told journalists that the attackers went to the hotel in motorcycles to carry out the dastardly act on Thursday night.
He said at the end of the operation by the gun men, three people were found dead including the owner of the hotel.
”They came with arms and entered the hotel, and then we started hearing gunshots from there.
“Three persons including the owner of the hotel, were found dead after the attack, “he was quoted as having said.
