Police Arrest Three Suspected Armed Robbers, Drugs Dealers  In Benue

The Benue State Police Command, on Tuesday, arrested three persons suspected to be armed robbers, drugs dealers and cultists at Logo1 area of the State.

The command Police Public Relations Officer SP Anene Sewuese disclosed this in a a statement in Makurdi on Tuesday.

According to her, the suspects were arrested following an intelligence reports.

“Following intelligence gathered about a 3-man gang robbing members of the public within Wurukum, NorthBank and Modern Market areas in Makurdi metropolis, the Commissioner of Police, Benue State Police Command, CP Wale Abass, ordered the trail and arrest of these armed robbers/cultists on 2/8/2022. 

“Fortunately, on 26/8/2022 at about 1600hrs, the said suspects; Fanen Wever , Philip Adanyi aka Baron and Albert Akor aka J-Boy all male of no fixed address were arrested at their hideout, within Logo 1 Wurukum, Makurdi”, Anene said. 

She said several items were recovered from them including one (1) locally made pistol loaded with three (3) rounds of live ammunition, wraps of weed, suspected to be Indian hemp, assorted illicit drugs and charms.

SP Anene added that the suspects confessed to the crimes and will be charged in court as soon as the investigation is completed.
