Operatives of the Bayelsa State Police Command have arrested a robbery suspect identified as Kaizer Freeman.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Asinim Butswat, a Superintendent of Police said in a statement on Thursday that the police recovered a dummy pistol, handcuff, and three military face caps from the suspect.
He said that operatives of the kidnapping unit picked up the suspect following a complaint by a female victim who was robbed of her mobile phone on gun point at Agudama, Yenagoa on January 17, around 5:45 pm.
Butswat said that a search conducted on the residence of the suspect led to the recovery of one dummy pistol, a pistol holster, a handcuff, and Navy, Army, and Air Force face caps.
The Police spokesman said that the suspect has admitted to the crime and an investigation is ongoing to recover the phone.
He said that the suspect will be charged in court at the conclusion of investigation.
