The internal crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party is far from over as the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike on Friday, described the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as a liar.
Recall that Atiku had in an interview on Arise TV said he chose Governor Ifeanyi Okowa ahead of Wike because he felt he was better for him.
But reacting to the Atiku’s comment, Wike disclosed that he was going to expose Atiku over what transpired during the PDP’s primary election.
Disclosing what happened between them at the Port Harcourt International Airport, on Friday, Wike said the interview Atiku granted on Arise TV was full of lies.
“Thereafter he appeared before Arise Television, see the statements he made. So many lies were told.
“Atiku Abubakar told so many lies on Arise Television that I can’t leave unchallenged. I will react to those lies made by him and his attack dogs line by line. At the end Nigeria will know who love this country and who does not,” he said.
According to Wike, he decided to be quiet because PDP was a party that he loved so much.
“I have moved on to conclude my social contract with the people of Rivers. However, it is time to let Nigerians know the truth. I am not a slave and will not be a slave. I am freeborn of the country,” Wike said.
