The agents of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Dino Melaye, former Governor of Imo State, Chief Emeka Ihedioha and others have worked out of the International Conference Centre Venue of the Indepedent Electoral Commission’s Presidential Election Collation Centre in Abuja.
The agents tried to prevail on the Chairman of INEC to halt the declaration the results because most of the results being announced were not transmitted through the BVAS that was used to conduct the election to the portal.
The agents reminded Yakubu of the promise he made to Nigerians about the use of the BVAS for the election and urged him to fulfill it.
However, the INEC Chairman responded after taking opinions from both sides that he believed in the process the commission had followed and opted to continue with the result announcement.
He dismissed the claim that there was over voting in Ekiti State.
As the process commenced, the PDP team stormed out of the venue without saying anything to the Chairman of INEC.
