Oyo State House of Assembly has approved the nomination of Chief Bayo Lawal as the new Deputy Governor.
Lawal, until his nomination was the the Chairman, Oyo State Housing Corporation.
His nomination is coming a few hours after the impeachment of Engr. Rauf Olaniyan.
The governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, recommended for approval of the House of Assembly, Chief Lawal .
Confirming the governor’s request, the majority leader, Sanjo Adedoyin, said that the nomination was in order.
Kazeem Olayanju, who also spoke, supported the nomination.
