OYO 2023: 35,000 PDP MEMBERS DEFECTS TO APC IN OYO

Ahead of the 2023 Governorship election in Oyo State, no fewer than 35, 000, members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oyo State have decamped to the All Progressives Congress.

The decampees made decision in readiness for the official declaration of Senator Folarin for the 2023, Oyo State Governorship election.

A party chieftain and 2019 Governorship candidate of the APC, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, said Makinde’s tenure will end at the expiration of his first tenure.

Adelabu said that Makinde, is now a political orphan and a lone ranger, as all his loyalists in the PDP have abandoned him.

Confirming Adelabu’s statement, Senator Kola Balogun, representing Oyo South Senatorial District left the PDP.

Senator Balogun disclosed that he reached at the decision to jump PDP ship at the formal declaration of Senator Teslim Balogun’s declaration for 2023 Governorship, on Tuesday at the party Secretariat Ibadan.

Senator Balogun who had earlier call out Makinde to defend allegation of non performance levelled against him said he is leaving the PDP for good.
