Oyebanji sworn in, takes over from Fayemi as Ekiti governor

A new Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji has taken over from Dr Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti State.

Oyebanji was sworn-in as the fifth democratically elected Governor of the state by 12: 52pm.

Oyebanji’s predecessor Fayemi, was the chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum.

The new Governor took the oath of office and allegiance before the Chief Judge, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, at 12: 52pm before a massive crowd which witnessed the event.

He was sworn alongside his Deputy Chief Monisade Afuye, at the Ekiti Parapo Pavillon, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
