OWO MASSACRE: AMOTEKUN ARRESTS SUSPECTS, RECOVER OPERATIONAL VEHICLE
The Western region security agency known as Amotekun Corps has arrested of the bloodthirsty terrorists who killed forty people at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owo on Pentecost Sunday on June 5, 2022.
The Commander of Amotekun, in Ondo State, Adetunji Adeleye confirmed on Thursday that some of the suspects who carried out the savage attack on innocent worshippers at Owo have been arrested.
He stated also that operatives of the Corp also recovered the vehicle the murderers used for the operation.
According to him, the Corp also recovered some items from the vehicle which were being investigated.
He assured that all perpetrators of the callous act and their sponsors would be apprehended and made to face justice.
“As regards the Owo incident, we have recovered the last vehicle they used for that operation and we made some arrests and we have also recovered some vital things which we are working on,” he said.
“A number of people have been arrested concerning the Owo issue as well as some equipment.
“On that day, we pursued them to the point we recovered the vehicle and we are still pursuing them.
“We have told you that until we get to the root, I can assure you that the perpetrators and their sponsors will be brought to book.” He was quoted to have said
