The Ondo State Police Command has reacted to the late Wednesday attack in the ancient city of Owo by suspected gunmen.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PRO, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the attack but said three persons were injured.
According to her, the persons who carried out the attack are yet to be identified.
He said it is not yet known what could be their plans but assured that the police investigations are ongoing.
“Tonight, there was a shooting incident at Craneburg Construction Company Owo, Policemen are currently at the scene, victims have been taken to Hospital and they are in stable condition.
“We can not ascertain the casualty figure now and we also cannot say it was a terrorists’ attack with the use of explosives devices but tomorrow( Thursday ) morning , the EOD men of the command would go to the scene,” Odunlami said on Wednesday night.
Recall that the town was attached by terrorists two months ago, when the St Francis Catholic Church was attacked with 41 deaths recorded.
An eyewitness said that the terrorists attacked construction company, Craneburg Construction Company, Folahami Junction.
They were said to have used explosives devices on the site, leaving multiple injuries on their victims.
It was gathered that the gunmen opened fire on those at the site but no live was lost.
