OBI VISITS OBA OF BENIN

•••SAYS IT IS TIME TO TAKE BACK  NIGERIA FROM A FEW INDIVIDUALS

A large crowd  of party supporters received the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, at the palace of the Oba of Benin,  His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, on Friday.

Obi expressed gratitude to the large crowd that revived him at the Oba’s pace saying he was delighted to be hosted at the palace.

“I am in the palace of the Oba of Benin; greeted by a humongous crowd, wonderful reception and warm hospitality. 0h am grateful, and delighted to be here.” He tweeted 

Obi urged Nigerians to avoid ethnicity and religion in the decision to vote a Presidential candidate in the 2023 election. 

The Labour Party Candidate said that Nigerians are ready to take back their country from a few individuals.

He said, “We want to save this country from its present predicament, and that is why we have been going round the country.

“It is now the turn of Nigerians to take back their country from few individuals.

“That next year election should not be based on ethnicity, it shouldn’t be on religion.”

“We want govt that is responsible, and we are exactly going to do that.

“I assure you that in our government, we will work; we will talk to the people and Royal fathers like you; we will give them voice.

The LP restated the fact that he left over 50 million USD each in three banks while leaving office in Anambra State.

Prominent royal father, the Oba of Benin, prayed for Peter Obi and his team.

He acknowledged the popularity of the LP Candidate and faulted the claim that Obidients exists only on social media.

“When you ask a little child, such a child will say Obident; even the old with gray hair are chanting Obident.

Of course we know the youths are at the front burner, so I wonder why some persons are saying Obident only exist on social media.
