A newly appointed Resident Electoral Commissioner in Anambra state,
Dr Queen Elizabeth Agwu has assumed duties.
She replaced Dr Nkwachukwu Orji, immediate past REC in the state.
The Head of Department Voter Education and Publicity in the state, Mr George Edeani, said Agwu had already assumed duties at the INEC Headquarters, Awka.
Edeani explained that the new REC was received on arrival by the Administrative Secretary of the Commission,Mr Jude Okwuonu, and other management staff.
He called for the cooperation of all in the state to enable the new REC perform optimally.
