News Investigators/ The Police Command in Kogi, has assured the National Examination Council (NECO) of adequate security during its external examination commencing in the state on Wednesday.
The state Commissioner of Police, Naziru Kankarofi, gave the assurance on Tuesday when the NECO Coordinator in Kogi, Thaddeus Ajabu, paid him a courtesy visit.
Mr Kankarofi said that already deployment of security personnel across all examination centers in the state had been carried out to ensure seamless exercises.
He reassured parents and candidates writing the examination in the state of adequate security and safety throughout the examination period.
Earlier in his remarks, Mr Ajabu told the police boss that the visit was aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration and securing adequate security cover for candidates during the examination period.
The coordinator said that the external examination, which would commence on Wednesday, deserved enhanced security.
He expressed gratitude for the police command for the proactive measures, while acknowledging the efforts of the commissioner to secure the examination environment and ensure smooth exercise.
