News Investigators/ Plateau state Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has congratulated retired Lt.-Gen. Theophilus Danjuma, on his 88th birthday anniversary.
This is contained in a congratulatory message by Dr Gyang Bere, the Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPPA) to the governor, issued on Tuesday in Jos.
Mr Mufwang described Danjuma as a symbol of excellence, hope and a philanthropist who devoted his life to the defence, progress and upliftment of the poor.
He also described the elder statesman as a towering figure whose support for the vulnerable and role toward nation building are indelible.
“We join hands as a people bound by a common heritage, together with millions of Nigerians to celebrate our father, mentor, and leader whose life story radiates service, courage and greatness on his 88th birthday anniversary.
“He remains a priceless national asset and an extraordinary achiever, who has enjoyed uncommon grace from God to lead, to serve, and to excel in diverse spheres of human endeavour.
“In uniform, he stood out as a courageous soldier and an astute strategist. In business, he distinguished himself as a visionary mogul in the transport, oil, and real estate sectors.
“As a philanthropist, he has been a pillar of hope and a father figure to individuals, communities and nations.
“In politics and public life, he shines as a statesman, a mentor and a guiding light to emerging leaders,” Mutfwang said.
The governor further prayed for good health, renewed strength and divine wisdom for Danjuma as he continues to offer wise counsel and mentorship role to the younger generation.
