Medical Doctor Murdered in Anambra

The police in Anambra are battling to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of a medical doctor, Dr Okpe Casmir Ikechukwu.

The deceased was murdered and dumped in his car on Oct.12.

He was found dead in his Toyota car at Ichi Girls secondary school bus stop in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra state.

The lifeless body of the deceased was reportedly discovered by a passer-by who made a video of it and posted online.

The video showed Dr Okpe’s Identity Card and the vehicle plate number DX 138 LSD.

The Identity Card with staff number, NAUTH/RES/199/97 showed that the deceased was a Supernumerary Resident doctor at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident said: “A lot of mysteries are yet to be unraveled concerning the suspected murder case.”

He called on the eyewitness to help the police investigations in the case.
