Make Integrity Your Watch Word, Adeleke Advises Corps Members

News Investigators/ Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has urged the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) corps members posted to the state to make integrity their watchword.

The governor said this on Friday during the swearing-in ceremony of Batch B stream 1 Corps Members at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Ede.

Mr Adeleke, represented by Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Adebayo Ogunbamgbe, urged the corps members to be agents of positive change and development.

He urged them to continue to protect the core values of the scheme through selfless service, patriotism, integrity, and efficiency.

The governor said that the state was committed to supporting the NYSC in fulfilling its objectives and ensuring that corps members in Osun were safe.

“Let me assure you that our administration will continue to work closely with the NYSC to provide an enabling environment for corps members.

“I also call on employers in both the public and private sectors to treat corps members as partners in progress, providing meaningful assignments and conducive working conditions,” he said.

Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Agbor Obim, said that 1,044 corps members, comprising 771 males and 273 females, were deployed to the state.

Mr Obim advised the corpers against sharing unauthorised content which could breach security, violate privacy rights, and undermine the integrity of the orientation programs.

He urged them to be of good behavior during the three-week orientation.
