The Lagos State Police Command has identified the Police Officer pictured smoking weed at the Ijora area of Lagos State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, identified the officer in a statement on Wednesday as Babatunde Adebayo, an Assistant Superintendent of Police.
Hundenyin said that Adebayo serves with the Shogunle Division of the Lagos State Command.
The PPRO said that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, has ordered disciplinary action against the errant cop.
The Network gathered that the officer was captured smoking weed in public, while in uniform, in the Ijora area of Lagos State.
The officer was posted online on Sunday by a concerned Nigerian, who posted it on social media and it was reposted by Instablog on Instagram with a message; “Nigerian police officer at Ijora Lagos smoking weed on duty.”
